Birthright Citizenship Executive Order — Struck Down 6–3 by the Supreme Court

On his first day back in office, Trump signed an executive order attempting to strip citizenship from American-born children of undocumented and temporary-status immigrants — directly contradicting the 14th Amendment's Citizenship Clause as interpreted by the Supreme Court since 1898. Four federal judges blocked it within weeks. On 30 June 2026, the Supreme Court struck it down 6–3, with even two Trump-appointed justices ruling against the administration.
