The AP Banned From the Press Pool Over "Gulf of America"

The White House barred Associated Press reporters from the Oval Office, Air Force One, and other limited-access press events because the AP continued referring to the Gulf of Mexico by its traditional name rather than Trump's preferred "Gulf of America." A federal judge ruled the ban unlawful and ordered access restored; a divided appeals court then let the ban continue while litigation proceeded.
